Plain files in plain folders, in the ChainScoop folder in your home folder. Open it in Finder whenever you like; nothing is locked inside the app.

The images are the originals, fetched from wherever the collection keeps them: on-chain, on IPFS, or on a web server. They're not screenshots of a marketplace grid.

Each metadata file is the token's own JSON, so the traits come with the art.

How a scoop runs

  1. Paste a link

    Any opensea.io/collection link goes into Add a collection.

  2. It finds the contract

    The chain and address are read off the collection page. Ethereum, Base, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Zora and more.

  3. It downloads everything

    Every image and metadata file, with retries and IPFS gateway fallbacks. A 10,000-token collection takes a while; the log shows progress.

  4. You browse it

    Search by id or name, filter by any trait, and open a token to see its files.

  • Open ScoopBrowser.dmg and drag Scoop Browser into Applications.
  • Scoop Browser runs on Python 3. If your Mac doesn't have it, macOS offers to install Apple's Command Line Tools the first time you open the app. Install them, then open Scoop Browser again.
  • Big collections need room: a 10,000-token set can run to several gigabytes.
